Key Evidence that the Universe is Trying to Bring Me Down

  • I have officially outgrown all but one pair of pants (my jeans which I can only wear to work one day per week). Luckily, I have a knock-off Bella Band to hold up my other pants. Unluckily, I only have a few shirts that are long enough for use with said knock-off Bella Band. Also, I just spent all of my money on a chair.
  • Speaking of the chair, it arrived last night and is awesome. Except for the part where Aaron pulled a muscle in his back carrying it up the stairs. He is now crabby and in pain, and as much as I try, I don't have the patience to deal with it.
  • Work is still hella busy with no end in sight.
  • Speaking of outgrowing clothes, I've also outgrown all but 2 bras. How I know I've outgrown the other ones? Last night I bent over to grab a tissue out of the box on the coffee table, and an underwire in the bra I was wearing snapped in half. I actually think that's pretty funny. Aaron didn't see the hilarity in the situation. He just keeps seeing dollar signs every time something breaks/becomes too small. I feel sad for him.
  • On a not funny at all note, my grandmother is going into hospice. They haven't given us an estimate on how much time she has left, not that they can acurately estimate that, but it doesn't look like it's going to be very long. I'm very sad about this, even though I know she's not well and making her comfortable is probably the best thing for her right now. None of us are ready though. At all.

i'm sorry to hear about your grandma. my grandmother went into hospice before she passed. hospice is a really wonderful thing, actually, in spite of it marking the end of life for someone we love. it allows the person to move on from this life with dignity and in peace.

it's hard to see those we love suffer. hopefully the people at hospice will be just what your grandma needs.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother. I hope she has a lot of family surrounding her and is pain-free!

I'm thinking it's time to bite the bullet on the pregnancy pants--Target has a lot of nice Liz Lange stuff! Not that I have any experience in this department...

I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother. I say wear your knock off Bella band like a rodeo star wears one of those really big belt buckles - out front and center with a ruby chip glued onto it or something.

So sorry to hear about your grandmother. I hope that she is able to be comfortable and peaceful for the rest of her time. I know it's hard.

I also know how frustrating it is to keep outgrowing clothes/underclothes. Sadly it won't stop. But there are lots of good cheap options (not as cheap as not having to buy at all but....) for all that stuff. I'm sure you've searched out the maternity stores near you but also remember that some Old Navy stores sell maternity clothes and bras, and you can always get it online too. Kohl's has a limited maternity section if you have them there. And of course, my old friend Target.

Sorry to hear about your grandmother, it's always so hard when they get sick, I know from experience.

And as for the clothes issues, I've never been preggers but as L Sass suggested, Target has some great/cheap stuff that my friend who had a baby last year highly recommended. :)
